Las Penitas is located just down the beach from another popular Nicaraguan beach town, Poneloya.

San Juan Del Sur

San Juan Del Sur is another beach town located on the Nicaraguan Pacific coast line. San Juan Del Sur is the number one beach town in Nicaragua and home to a lot of expats and rich Nicaraguans.

Buying groceries

Although there are several restaurants and bars along the beach that offer beer, soft drinks, snacks, cigarettes etc there aren’t any kiosks or grocery stores there so you need to leave the beach and go to main street or beyond if you want to buy groceries to make your own dinner or want some fruit and bread for your packed lunch.

Location: La Riviera is located near the end of the main road of Las Penitas with view over the bay, close to  Barca de oro.

Information:

Riveria is a pizzeria serving U.S. west coast style pizza. If you prefer east coast, New York,  pan pizza style pizzas this is not the restaurant for you. This is not to say that the Pizza is bad and it is a good option if you like east coast style Pizza. Riveria also serves pasta but this option is not always available. Riviera opens at 5 pm and is open Thursday – Sunday.

The service is good and the newly constructed restaurant has a nice atmosphere to it. They often show movies at night or play music videos on the big screen.

Riveria has one of the best bars in Las Penitas and is an ideal place to drop by for a beer or a few drinks. They also have very good freshly squeezed juices.

    Riviera is open thusedays to sundays from 5 pm until ????
    Pasta dishes. salads and cocktails are available every day.
    The person who did the reviev must have passed by in low season.
    I personally found the pizza very tasty. In fact never had a better one in nicaragua.
